This section of the River Bann has produced several rowing Olympians including the Chambers Brothers Peter & Richard, (Silver medalists London 2012) Four time Olympian Alan Campbell who one Bronze in 2012 and in recent years Hannah Scott who represented GB at Tokyo 2020.
A steady cycle from "The Cutts" at Castleroe to the "Old Bridge" and back is approximately 3 miles and takes 50-110 minutes, depending in river flow, wind & how social you want the trip to be.
